Chapter 108: Please let me go
Demir was appalled seeing the current condition of the eagle tribe from the entrance. The plaza which was so glorious earlier was reduced to mere debris now, beastmen were scurrying out of the tribe and maybe even out of the beast city to avoid the risk of losing their lives. The power of only one immortal beastman was this hazardous so he tried to calm his erratic nerves before losing his sanity just like Blake.
He entered inside and caught sight of Victor contemplating whether to turn into his beast form to stop Blake. Both were thinking the same, they were now able to control their worry about Lyra going missing by staying in their beastman forms. But it might not be the same if they turned into their beast forms because then they would become more powerful and all of their senses including emotions will heighten which might cause more damage than benefit.
Victor’s mind was switching from wanting to turn and not turn into his beast form, then he glimpsed at Demir striding towards him "Hey, you turn into your beast form and stop that snake"
"You do it," Demir said, "I can’t control myself once I turn and my poison going haywire is also an issue"
Victor wanted to curse out loud but held back. Why was he stuck with these useless idiots? "Fine! I’ll do it" he said and closed his eyes but halted when Demir called for him.
"What really happened to my sunshine? Di-did she returns to her world?"
"Yeah give her more ideas" Victor muttered under his breath and answered ’No’ before turning into his beast form a Vulture.
The vulture soared to the sky and launched himself at the giant black snake on the land ’Screech’
Blake stopped his movements and looked up to only receive a blow on his face. He hissed at the vulture and attacked him with his tail sending him to the ground with a ’thud’ which destroyed half of the eagle tribe sending everyone into a panic.
