Jacob felt restless as he paced in his room. Michael watched him with a bored expression because it was quite normal for the fox king to throw a tantrum at him and it was affirmed true as Jacob turned to him and shouted, "Just how useless are you!?"
Michael frowned, he didn’t even know his fault this time, "I became a stray beast king as you wished. what more do I have to do?"
The fox king slumped on the stone chair and massaged his forehead with his fingers, "I apologize for taking out my anger on you. I just have so much on my mind nowadays"
"What is worrying you so much?"
"Everything" he replied through gritted teeth, "Not even one of my plans is working. I can’t track Theodore no matter what, he left his cave a long ago but witch masters under me are still unable to locate him. They say that some unknown power is blocking them"
Michael frowned, "Ask Garrison’s help, he is more powerful than all of your witch masters combined"
"Do you think I didn’t try that already?" he shook his head, "Garrison is not even a least eager about finding Theodore’s location. He is just planning about the ways to capture and end Lyra’s life"
"That’s impossible" Michael stated, "She is surrounded by powerful beastmen. Facing snake king and vulture king alone is suicide and do I even have to tell you about the prince of the scorpion tribe?"
Jacob sighed, "We can’t also discard the tribe’s support they have. Lion and silver wolf tribes are the biggest in the beast city, also the snake tribe, vulture tribe, and scorpion tribe will protect her. She is their queen or will become one in the future after all"
"And knowing all this you are still allowing that Garrison guy to follow his plans which might put the whole fox tribe into jeopardy?"
