Chapter 70: Guilty
Lyra continued to cry in Blake’s embrace for some more time. She didn’t understand herself because it was not her personality to feel so weak and frantic. Her heart ached remembering Killian’s pleading face as she rejected to go along with him.
She leaned on Blake’s chest and felt guilty for feeling like this, now that she was here with Blake, this feeling she was feeling was real, she truly loved the man she was embracing now, even after accepting Noah and Lucas, she knew that she liked them but was not sure whether she loved them, so she never said I love you.
Lyra felt bad for doing that to them, but her heart refused to say that to them, whereas with Blake, it was easy for her to utter those words.
She pulled away from him and looked into his eyes "What is happening to me? Please explain this, I feel like I’m losing my mind"
Blake caressed her face and took a deep breath "Will you believe me if I say that Killian is your soulmate?"
"Soulmate?"
He nodded his head "Killian is a black panther and males from his tribe have predestined mates. It so happend that you are his mate, that is why you are feeling like this"
Lyra frowned "But I’m not even someone from this world"
"I don’t know how it happend" He lied to her because he knew that she was not ready to absorb all the truth surrounding her.
"It may be a mistake" she reasoned
Blake shook his head and smiled bitterly "Your emotions towards Killian are the proof that you are his mate. He must be feeling double the frustration because you turned him down"
