Chapter 50: Lunch
After sometime Lucas prepared lunch and called Lyra "Ly, come and eat your food"
Lyra entered the living room and caught the sight of Victor sitting in the corner, she frowned "Are you not eating?"
Victor glanced at her and shook his head "I can go without food for three days once I eat"
Lyra turned towards Lucas inquiring, Lucas chuckled "It is true Ly, Males can go without food after one hunt, but I like to eat in the house with you"
Victor widened his eyes, Did he just miss eating with his love? he sullenly lowered his head in dejection.
Lyra nodded meaningfully at Lucas's words and looked around "Where is Noah by the way? I have not seen him around since morning"
Lucas replied while putting the food inside the stone bowl "He returned to the city of beasts because of some work, I think he will be returning in three days"
She accepted the food bowl and sat on the ground and started eating the food. After finishing it Lucas brought a wide stone pot with clean water. Lyra put her hair in a bun and started washing her face, she halted her actions when she noticed the reflection of a black snake mark on her neck in the water and smiled sadly "I miss him"
Lucas narrowed his eyes "Who? That snake?"
Lyra glared at him "Call him by his name"
Lucas avoided her eyes and marched towards the bedroom. Victor on another hand took a minute to understand who she was referring to and clenched his jaws, 'what was so special about that damn snake that she missed' he couldn't hold his tongue and blurted out "Why do you like Blake that much?"
