Chapter 24: Opening up
After cleaning the prey Blake roasted some meat for Lyra, as there were no condiments in the house the meat was bland but she finished it with great difficulty as she was hungry. Blake understood her reluctance in eating the meat and went out to find some vegetables and herbs in the forest.
There was complete silence in the house when Blake left, Lyra was somewhat uneasy being alone with Lucas, She was not yet ready to confront him. He was the first person she met coming to this world and was quite attracted to his cheerful personality but it all changed the day she went missing. Sigh
"How are you, Lucas? I'm sorry, I worried you too much. It must have been hard for you"Lyra spoke breaking the silence
Lucas's eyes teared up, It was indeed hard for him, he spent sleepless nights searching for her everywhere without bothering to eat something properly. But the hardest thing was not being able to look at her beautiful face whenever he remembered the moments they spent together. He shook his head, she was now present with him, that's all that matters
He flashed a charming smile "I'm fine Ly, now that I'm here with you all those things don't matter"
Lyra smiled at him "Im glad that you are here"
Lucas grinned and asked "Do you have something that you like to eat Ly? I can search and bring it"
She shook her head "I have nothing like that in particular, as long as it is tasty I will eat it"
He lowered his head sadly "I thought I could bring you something" he muttered
