Chapter 27: You Enjoyed Yourself
With that, she disappeared inside, leaving Zayn standing there, staring at the doors.
After a moment, he clicked his tongue and rubbed his cheek. "Damn... why'd that feel nice?"
Shaking his head, he turned away and walked off into the night.
Zayn found Bran exactly where they had agreed to meet — at the edge of the red-light district, near a fountain with a faded statue of a goddess whose name he couldn't be bothered to remember.
The moon hung high above them, casting pale silver light across the streets, and most of the liveliness of the district had started to die down.
Bran was leaning against the fountain, arms crossed, but as Zayn approached, the first thing he noticed was the smell.
His nose wrinkled.
Bran reeked of perfume.
And not just one type — multiple fragrances clashed against each other, a mix of floral, musky, and sweet scents that made it painfully obvious what — or rather, who — he had been up to.
Zayn stopped in front of him, staring.
Bran smirked. "What?"
