Ran Yan shifted her body without changing her expression and used the book to block her face.

Xiao Song watched, puzzled. He wanted to reach out and push the book aside but then heard a muffled voice drift out from behind the book like a lingering spirit, "Xiao Yuezhi, I want to set three rules with you."

"Hmm?" Xiao Song didn’t understand. He had only dozed off leaning on her leg for a moment, and she had not objected. Why did he find her demeanor changed upon waking?

"First, you are not allowed to look at me like that; second, no physical contact before marriage; third, no selling looks," Ran Yan poked her head out from behind the book, "Do you agree or not?"

Xiao Song had just woken up and his mind was still a bit foggy. Her declaration of the three rules made him even more confused, "Selling looks?" He could somehow grasp the first two, but what did the last one mean?

Ran Yan extended her index finger, pointed solemnly at his hair, then his clothes, "Your hair is disheveled, your clothes are untidy... it’s truly... an affront to decency." Ran Yan thought for a moment and added, "It’s damaging to public morals."
