Li Ke didn’t know if it was because he had lost too much blood or if he was terrified by Ran Yan’s grim expression, but his complexion was somewhat pale. His eyes fiercely fixed on her, yet he didn’t speak, only clutching his wound tightly.

Blood continued to ooze out from between his fingers. If this went on for much longer, he might die from blood loss.

Li Ke shouted, "Someone come!"

The door was pushed open, and four Imperial Guards with swords stepped in. Seeing the blood all over the room, they couldn’t help exclaiming in shock, "Your Highness!"

"Fetch the doctor," Li Ke said, no longer daring to speak loudly. Just now, his shout caused the blood to surge out, making his vision darken repeatedly.

Several guards had seen combat and were experienced in dealing with such injuries; therefore, before the doctor arrived, they managed a simple treatment of the wound.

Just then, two rows of guards ushered Su Fu in.

Su Fu was dressed in a black round-necked Hu outfit, his ink-black hair neatly tied into a bun, with not a single superfluous item on his person. Observing the chaos on the floor and seeing Ran Yan bloodied and leaning against the corner, his austere expression grew even colder, like ice that had lasted for a thousand years.

"Let me have a look." Somehow, Su Fu broke free from the two guards holding him and walked over to Ran Yan’s side.

The guards behind him were all on edge, yet none dared to stop him.
