Chapter 106: Transportation Plans
The world dissolved in a flash of light, and Adrian found himself back within the confines of the underground capsule.
He easily climbed up the hole with the help the grips and he carefully removed the camouflaged hatch, pushing aside the loose soil and stone that concealed it.
Emerging from the six-foot-deep hole, Adrian’s boots crunched against the hard, cracked earth of the Corrupted Lands.
Adrian stood still for a moment, taking in the silence of the wasteland. He deactivated the Power Suit entirely, its sleek blue black form melting away into his [Inventory].
The absence of its weight felt liberating, and the cool, arid breeze brushed against his skin, grounding him in the real world.
Summoning a woven mat from his [Inventory], Adrian spread it across the cracked ground and lay down, staring up at the overcast sky.
"I have some more projects waiting after the drones," he murmured to himself. But for now, he needed rest. He set a mental command to the Tech Core:
"Wake me in ten hours or if you detect a mana spike." With that, he closed his eyes, letting the quiet of the Corrupted Lands lull him into sleep.

For the full ten hours, Adrian slept in peace, his body finally surrendering to the rest it craved.
The Tech Core’s alarm soon pinged sharply in his mind, snapping his eyes open. The sleep had worked wonders as his mind felt sharp and his body refreshed.
