Chapter 65: Back At The Workshop
Adrian stood patiently as the outpost’s guards conducted their routine search. He still had to abide to the Association’s rules of surrendering 50% of one’s haul.
And while, he had his [Inventory] to evade that. He still sometimes carried something to hand over; just enough to keep the guards satisfied without raising questions.
Adrian handed over the sturdy bag containing the Shadow Wolf bones and two Magic Crystals after the search.
The guard opened it, inspecting its content, before setting aside half the bones, and one of the Magic Crystals.
The bag and its remaining content were then returned to Adrian.
"Clear," the guard said after, waving him through.
Adrian gave a forced smile, slinging the bag over his shoulder as he stepped past the checkpoint. The exchange was routine, but it left him with a quiet satisfaction, he’d kept the bulk of his haul even though he didn’t need them too much.
With the outpost behind him, Adrian made his way to the Association building, its stone facade looming against the darkening sky.
The structure was less active at that time of the day, but adventurers and officials still moved in out as he entered.
He approached the mission desk, where a different receptionist from the one in the morning sat.
He submitted the parchment he was handed earlier, he took out the Magic Crystal and gave her the bag too.
