Primordial God Of Time

Chapter 134: The Overpowered New Time Ability!!!

The king simply nodded, then glanced sharply at Kathryn. "The World Tree is dying."

"The World Tree?" Kathryn’s eyes widened in shock. She couldn’t believe it. How could the World Tree be dying? How could this be happening? She stared at her father, seeking confirmation, even though she knew he wouldn’t play such a cruel joke. Still, a seed of scepticism remained.

Kranos, listening from the side, felt his heart skip a beat. He recalled the message from the system: "Could it be because the system used the World Tree to transcend time and show me that vision? Is that the reason why the World Tree is dying?"

Many guesses swirled in Kranos’s mind, but he didn’t voice any of them. His expression remained neutral, as though he bore no responsibility. He listened with rapt attention as the father and daughter continued their conversation.

"The prophetess just sensed a large amount of life force drained from the World Tree. We believe this is a sign that the World Tree is dying," the king stated, unfazed by Kranos’s presence.

He trusted Kathryn, and since she had brought Kranos to the heart of the World Tree, he knew she was confident Kranos couldn’t harm it. Besides, he was merely a weak cultivator at the peak of the Golden Core Realm!

"But Father..." Kathryn bit her lip, deep in thought. She couldn’t understand how this had happened so abruptly. She glanced at Kranos from the corner of her eye, but then shook her head. She knew Kranos wouldn’t be responsible for this; after all, she knew him all too well.

Meanwhile, Kranos’s heart skipped a beat a second time upon hearing the king’s words. He knew the system was definitely the one that had drained the World Tree’s life force.

The king continued, "All entrances to the heart of the World Tree are closed until further notice."
