Kranos was shocked to realize that the man was a Dao Palace realm expert! His expression turned solemn as he looked at him. The man, meanwhile, didn’t seem to consider Kranos a threat, after all very few cultivators could defend against his abilities.
Kranos’s thoughts moved rapidly. Since the man was in the Dao Palace realm and likely Rose’s senior, it would be extremely disadvantageous if they joined hands. He couldn’t let that happen.
With those thoughts, his blade moved swiftly, stabbing towards the lady, aiming to cut off her head and kill her in one swift motion.
However, just as he made that move, he felt an unprecedented sense of crisis. He was immediately horrified! Without any hesitation, he forcefully paused time and, with the greatest speed he could muster, rushed out of there.
After reaching a safe distance, he turned to look in the direction of Rose and Desmond, but he was immediately stunned. There was no sign of an attack there.
For a moment, he thought he had sensed wrong, but seeing the playful smile on Desmond’s lips, he immediately understood that he had truly been attacked.
But how? What sort of attack is that? Kranos was terrified. Though he knew it was an attack, he couldn’t do anything about it since he didn’t know what kind it was. He couldn’t even see it.
Another unique ability? This time, even more unique than the others? Kranos had a faint guess. Just as his thoughts were about to continue, Desmond’s voice interrupted him.
"You do have some ability, to be able to dodge my attack, I wonder? How did you do that?" Desmond was slightly surprised.
