Primordial God Of Time

Chapter 47: Gu Worm?? Encountering An Acquaintance...

The next moment, a gust of wind blew, revealing the figure. Kranos was stunned to see a small Gu worm crawling out from the shattered remnants of the demon worm. The creature looked extremely fragile—almost identical to the previous worm but much smaller, barely the size of a finger. Shockingly, the voice had come from this tiny creature.

Just as Kranos and everyone were in shock the voice spoke again, "Human... do you even understand what you’ve cost me? Decades of painstaking cultivation! Now, Master will be furious with me!! Fortunately, I awakened a third ability which is quite useful, in a few years I will see you again, and at that time I will destroy this world," With that final outburst, the Gu worm’s body began to crumble, disintegrating bit by bit into dust.

Everyone was supposed to be happy about the outcome of the battle but the creature’s last words left everyone in gloom, they knew they had won this battle but... at what cost? Only for the creature to come back a few years later and who knew if the creature would be stronger than it currently was?

Everyone was feeling downcast, at this moment a thud resounded, everyone turned their gazes to the source and realised that Ming had collapsed to the floor gasping for breath, Ju rushed over immediately. Though he too could feel his life force fading, he tried to hold on.

"Son! Assign the others to clean up the battlefield. Help me take Ming to the inner chamber!" Ju shouted, he would have carried her but he was too weak, straining any more of his energy as it already was would only lead to a quicker death.

Responding to the call, Ju Ming ran over. His face changed drastically upon seeing Ming lying motionless. Without hesitation, he picked her up and rushed through the protective barrier toward the inner chamber. He understood clearly—if not for Ming, the outcome of the battle would have been far worse.

With the crisis passed, Kranos quietly faded into the background. There was nothing more for him here. He returned to his room and sat down to cultivate. His goal was clear: to break through to the Golden Core realm and enhance his strength as much as possible.

Even with such cultivation, those stronger than him still succumbed to death. If only they could manipulate time—perhaps survival would have been possible. Kronos sighed inwardly.

He wasn’t strong enough yet. But he also knew that strength came with time and effort. He remembered the creature’s final words, which lingered in his mind. From everything he had observed, he could make certain guesses about the creature’s origins and nature. But for now, only one thing mattered and that was becoming stronger.
