Chapter 92: Advisory Role
The next morning, when Dominic got to the workshop, there was a surprise guest waiting for him, along with the two Tutors.
"Princess Alexis, it’s a pleasure to see you this morning." Dominic greeted the athletic blonde, who looked decidedly less comfortable in her elegant dress than she had in her battle armour.
"Sorcerer, it’s good to see that you are well. I have come to invite you to a meeting with the King and his advisors. How quickly can you get changed into military formal attire?" She replied.
"Five minutes, your Highness. There is a spare room here, and I have the necessary items with me."
While he went to the other room, Dominic heard the Princess excusing the Tutors for the day, with the insistence that he would not be back any time soon.
That made the meeting sound much more important than anything that he was likely to be invited to on a normal day, or perhaps the situation was so much more dire than he had imagined.
The King had just sent five hundred cavalry riflemen to assist at the border, surely that should have been enough to stabilize the situation for some time?
Dominic quickly changed, and Princess Alexis gave his outfit a quick inspection before nodding in satisfaction and escorting him from the room.
"You will be attending today as my advisor in matters of magic and weapons supply. Advisor Morgana works for my father, and will be filling a similar role, so you can follow her lead in most situations.
