Riley’s gaze sharpened, and his hand instinctively reached to his side.

In a flash, he drew both of his daggers, pointing one of them at the girl.
The girl flinched in shock, springing up on her feet.
Strangely enough, the strange monster on her shoulder didn’t react, only sleeping like it had no worries in the world.
"H-Hey—wait!" she stammered, taking a small step back. "I only helped you, alright? There’s no need to attack me!"
Riley didn’t move.
His eyes stayed locked on her face, cold and unreadable.
"Who are you?" he asked, taking one step at her. "And how can you see my player ID?"
Riley’s eyes narrowed again, and he glanced above her head.
