Book 6: Chapter 96: Mutual Destruction
In the boundless void, Gerald, driven to the brink of death, roared in fury, “Regalis! Don’t push me!”
His massive body smashed through the dead stars in the surrounding, reducing them to cosmic dust. Yet, the ones that were part of the vast formation held firm.
No matter what he tried, escape was impossible. And under the Dragon Queen’s increasingly terrifying assault, he was powerless to retaliate.
Bits of flesh and splintered white bone fragments flew in every direction.
As the Dragon Ancestor, his vitality was immense. But even that life force was slowly draining away under the Dragon Queen’s brutal attacks.
His heart alone had been crushed more than a hundred times. At this rate, she would torture him to death in the cruelest way!
“This is what you deserve, isn’t it?”
The Dragon Queen’s face was unreadable. She just kept suppressing the emotions in her heart, again and again, until her usual stoic expression returned to her face.
She didn’t even use spells or her power of Authority. With just her bare hands, she plucked Gerald’s scales off, tore his flesh, ripped out his bones, shattered his organs, and crushed his heart.
The cruel punishment was repeated over and over again. Even the death by a thousand cuts paled in comparison.
This felt just like the torment she endured nine million years ago, when she helplessly watched the dragon race inch toward extinction.
“Last warning, Regalis! Don’t force me!”
