Chapter 349: Are You Deaf?
Things were going well until that accident happened, the one Stephanie had mentioned. It was serious and clearly planned.
To save Chantelle, Xander was badly hurt. He almost lost his life.
His parents and pregnant sister rushed to the hospital as soon as they heard about the accident. But on the way, they got into a car crash. His father died, and his sister lost her baby. Not long after, she fell into depression and eventually took her own life.
Chantelle had always felt sorry for Emelia, knowing everything she had gone through. That’s why, no matter how cruel Emelia was toward her, she never fought back.
"Stop right there! I told you before that you’re not allowed here with those brats. Are you deaf? Or do you actually want Xander dead?" a young woman suddenly yelled, charging toward them.
She had lost to Chantelle before, so she didn’t dare lay a hand on her. Instead, she slapped the kids.
Railer was the unlucky one as he was the one who got slapped.
Chantelle saw the swelling on Railer’s cheek so she slapped the woman quickly without holding back.
"You dare hit me? After everything you’ve done to Xander, you still have the nerve? Auntie Emelia, I told you that she planned all of this! She wanted Xander to get hurt so she could get her hands on his money!"
The woman shouting was Xander’s childhood friend. Since Xander had been in a coma, she’d stayed by Emelia’s side, helping take care of her.
Because of that, Chantelle gave her a bit of respect.
