Chapter 322: I’m Such A Pathetic Little Girl
Camille was the only daughter of the Nelsen family and a respected socialite. So why had she lost to someone like her?
Oscar noticed his younger sister wasn’t completely hopeless. He went on, "You’re the only daughter of the Nelsen family, but you have no career and no clue about the family business. Grandfather may adore you now, but one day, he’ll just marry you to someone who can offer a generous dowry."
Camille’s face went pale. She didn’t want to be used that way. She looked at Oscar with eyes filled with desperation.
Oscar continued, "If you want more, then prove yourself. Show the rest of the family what you can actually do. Grandfather may favor you, but Nelsen Corporation doesn’t belong to him alone."
Camille started to panic. She had always believed that winning her grandfather’s favor was enough. Steve had always given her everything she asked for.
But Oscar had forced her to face a harsh truth: she might be Steve’s only granddaughter, but Steve had several siblings and their children also worked in Nelsen Corporation and owned shares in the company.
Even if those cousins weren’t a threat, she still had three older brothers. No matter how much Steve adored her, he would divide the family fortune among all four of them instead of giving everything to her alone.
Rowan was already handling everything related to the company.
And Steve... he was getting old. He might not have much time left.
If he passed away suddenly, would the rest of the Nelsen family just give her a small sum and send her off to live overseas?
"I was planning to send you back to Carcosa, but you’re still my younger sister. If you can follow what I say, make friends with Chantelle and Natalia, then marry into the Wilson family, I’ll give you five percent of my shares," Oscar urged her.
