Chapter 274: I Haven’t Seen In Years
At Sunshine Villa, Rowan hurried back after getting a call from William. He was shocked to see Camille wrapped up in bandages like a mummy.
He had already seen the video clip his younger brother sent. In it, Camille was shouting "damn old man" and holding a glass bottle to hit Stephanie.
"I’m sorry, Uncle Rowan," Stephanie said, sniffling.
Rowan gently touched her cheek. "This isn’t your fault. You don’t need to say sorry."
"If I had known Auntie hated me this much, I wouldn’t have stayed here. I caused too much trouble." Tears rolled down her face like little diamonds.
"Stephanie, she doesn’t hate you," Rowan said softly. "She’s just... had a fever."
To him, calling it a "fever" was the kindest way to explain Camille’s strange behavior.
Maybe she had lost her mind to say such things.
"Steph, your favorite brother is here to take you home!" Kane shouted as he rushed in and pulled Stephanie out of Rowan’s arms.
"What’s your problem? Why is Stephanie crying?" Kane shot Rowan a sharp look.
"It wasn’t me," Rowan said quickly, shaking his head, and feeling a little embarrassed.
