Chapter 251: What’s Your Relationship With My Mom?
Rowan grabbed Camille’s wrist right away. If she really knelt, his grandpa would blame him. The Nelsen family would turn against Chantelle. Camille was their grandpa’s favorite. He always believed her. She’d twist the story and say Chantelle made her kneel. That would bring shame to both Camille and their family.
Rowan knew this wasn’t Chantelle’s fault. He didn’t want his grandpa to go after her. Chantelle had reminded him of someone from his past.
"Ms. Chantelle, as you can see, Camille already regrets what she did. Can we let this go? Let’s have a glass of wine and end things here," Rowan said as he poured wine into her glass.
Chantelle didn’t even glance at it. "Mr. Nelsen, was all of this just an act to trick me? Do you want me to speak well of you to the Walker family? I thought the Nelsens weren’t afraid of anything."
Camille got angry and wanted to argue, but Anthony stopped her right away.
If she drinks that wine, it’s over for her. Daniel won’t forgive her. I should control myself for now.
"Camille’s behavior is our fault. We spoiled her. She’s immature and full of herself. I hope you can forgive her." Rowan downed a full glass of wine to show he was sorry.
Chantelle didn’t respond. Rowan kept drinking until he had finished three glasses.
"The Nelsen family has always believed in doing good. I came to Easthan planning to donate five million dollars to the Charity Association. I hope you’ll accept it."
Maybe he really meant it.
"Mr. Nelsen, you should talk to the association’s director about that." Chantelle lifted her glass and took a small sip as Rowan kept watching her.
