Meanwhile, Camille had just gotten back to the Astute apartment after she came out from the hospital. She slammed the door shut and kicked off her shoes in anger.
"Chantelle, who do you think you are? Just some illegitimate girl from a poor family. You’re not even close to being on my level!" she yelled as her eyes were filled with deep resentment.
Anthony’s arms were covered in gauze as he silently followed Camille into her apartment.
He quickly picked up the shoes she had thrown and placed them neatly on the shoe rack near the door.
Then, he rushed back to her side and knelt down. Without saying a word, he began to massage her legs like a servant trying to please his boss.
"Ms. Nelsen, you’re absolutely right! Chantelle doesn’t deserve to be compared to you. We need to remind her where she stands!" Anthony said while gently rubbing her legs.
Ms. Nelsen was in one of her worst moods today. She didn’t even care who was watching.
"Hmph! You should be ashamed! You couldn’t even stop her, even with help from our men! Maybe I should ask Ro to fire you and get me a new assistant. You’re useless. I bet everyone’s laughing at me now."
"Ms. Nelsen, please don’t! I swear I’m loyal to you. I may not be good at fighting, but no one else will ever be as loyal as me!" Anthony said, lifting his injured arm.
As he did it, he winced in pain. He must have hurt himself again.
Camille paused when she saw how badly injured he was.
