Chapter 103: Be Careful
Chantelle woke up in the morning and saw that Daniel was gone.
On the dining table, there was breakfast and a sticky note.
The note read, "Thank you for your care, Ms. Chantelle. I am busy, so I will be leaving. I'll leave Rai in your care." A smiley face was at the end of the note.
Chantelle smiled as she read the words.
Lately, she had been living the life she always dreamed of. She felt both happy and sad, unsure of what to do.
Daniel should have been a kind and gentle husband if he married the woman he loved.
However, Chantelle felt sad because she was the one he married. She couldn't understand why Daniel hated her back then.
"Mommy, did you make this breakfast? It smells so good!" Kane rushed out of his room with messy hair. He is always concerned about his mother's mood in the morning.
Seeing Chantelle in a good mood, Kane asked about the breakfast.
"Your Daddy made this. Do you want to wash up and eat with me?"
"Did my Scumbag dad make this? Was he here again last night?" Kane was upset. Though he had been asleep, he knew what had happened. He wondered if Daniel had hurt his mother again.
