Chapter 52: Mission Accomplished
Calvin quickly tried to calm her down. "Please relax, Ms. Chantelle. Kane is safe. Roman didn't really kidnap him—he just took him home and made it look like a kidnapping."
"I don't think he's even capable of being a kidnapper," Chantelle scoffed. She forced herself to stay calm after hearing that Kane was safe.
But that didn't mean she approved of what Roman had done.
"Mr. Wilson was informed about the situation. He sent Ashton to capture Roman. The old man was tied to a tree at a park and left in the freezing cold for three hours. He nearly lost his life. I suppose he agreed to our conditions after realizing he could no longer rely on the Wilson family," Calvin explained.
"That sounds just like Roman. He's completely lost his mind," Chantelle sneered.
Her eyes darkened angrily. He should never have touched Kane. No matter how much he hates me, Kane is still his grandson. How could he harm his own blood?
Having worked with Chantelle for years, Calvin could tell exactly what she was thinking. He knew she wouldn't let Roman get away with this.
Promptly, he asked, "Shall we teach him a lesson, Ms. Chantelle?"
Anyone who had bullied her children before had paid a heavy price.
"I heard Roman kicked Ruby and Kate out of the house?" Chantelle asked.
"Yeah. Roman is furious when he finds out the truth about Kate's situation overseas. He threw them out right away," Calvin said.
