Chapter 43: She Has A Fever
Rai was a poor child. He had been thrown off a cliff at a young age, leaving his face disfigured.
It would take at least seven painful surgeries to restore his appearance.
Chantelle felt distressed just thinking about it.
The person who threw him off the cliff had no conscience.
"Since I'm injured, I won't visit him for now. Take care of him for me over the next few days."
"Don't worry, Boss! I'll make sure everything is handled!" Russell said, patting his chest confidently.
Chantelle was completely drained. She didn't even bother changing her clothes. Leaning back on the sofa, she quickly drifted off to sleep.
She was still groggy when she woke up and saw a figure nearby.
Her head felt heavy, maybe because she was too exhausted.
She noticed someone standing a few steps away but struggled to open her eyes. Her eyelids were so heavy that she couldn't fully wake up.
It wasn't until she heard that cold, familiar voice that she became more aware.
