Chapter 5: He Might Reveal Everything
She had imagined many ways how they would reunite one day, but none of them had involved Railer lying in a hospital bed with serious injuries.
The boy would have been in much worse shape if she hadn't saved him earlier.
"How have you been for the past five years, Rai?" Chantelle's eyes were filled with tears as she thought about all the suffering her son had gone through.
She knew Daniel wasn't a responsible father, and Kate wouldn't be kind to him either.
That explained why, despite being so young, Railer couldn't speak. It seemed they hadn't paid much attention to him, which was why he had fallen down the hill.
Chantelle grimaced, sensing that something bad was about to happen.
She quickly called Calvin and ordered, "Find out why the child fell down the hill at the cemetery today. I need to know if Kate was behind it!"
Knowing how important the task was, Calvin responded immediately, "Yes, Ms. Chantelle. I'll look into it right away."
After the call, Chantelle turned her attention back to Railer.
As she carefully examined his injuries, she promised to make Kate pay if she was responsible for the boy's suffering.
