Eve’s remark was as bland as could be. The corners of her mouth had been twitching at the box I held out, acting as if what was coming had finally come, but she calmed her excitement as soon as she realized it contained a school uniform. Sieri also looked deflated at the fact that it was a school uniform, her fingers fidgeting.
“Of course.”
“Besides this, is there… nothing else?”
“Something else? Ah, you mean this?”
I held out another box. Sieri watched the box being handed to Eve with a complicated expression. Eve, too, glanced at Sieri before asking me again.
“Is there only one for me?”
This box, too, was far too large to be a ring. After shaking the box frivolously, Eve opened it carefully. Inside was lingerie.
