Chapter 226 - Challenge at the Combat Temple
After walking through the Combat Temple for several minutes, the group found themselves surrounded by countless warriors, instructors, and curious apprentices.
The newcomers, Jino Britz and Nina Farion, drew attention from every corner.
There were many questions, and most came from those who had once belonged to the Sword Sanctuary.
Especially those who left the Sanctuary after Gall Farion’s defeat at Rygar’s hands. One third of them decided to follow Clint after the Sword God departed and were now also under the banner of the Kingdom of Gaia.
In the year that had passed since Gall Farion’s fall, the Sword Sanctuary suffered a visible decline.
With Gall out of the picture and Timothy Britz assuming the title of Sword God, leadership seemed unstable, and the decisions he made did not please everyone.
Still, it was one event in particular that shocked everyone shortly before Nina and Jino’s departure.
With expressions of resignation and respect, the two reported what had happened. About a month before they left, a wandering knight appeared at the Sanctuary.
His name was Sándor von Grandeur.
It was an unknown name, a figure no one recognized. His goal was to find Gall Farion. But, upon learning that the former Sword God had left the Sanctuary, Sándor requested an audience with Timothy.
No one ever learned the content of their conversation—and Timothy didn’t tell, even afterward—but the final result was a battle.
Sándor fought using a staff as his weapon.
