The sun shone high in the sky, pouring its light over the vast plain surrounding Milishion.
The city seemed to gleam under the noonday heat, its white, immaculate structures reflecting the light as if fashioned by the hands of a God.
It was an almost divine sight, as if magic ran through every wall of that city. And for some of them, it was true.
But today, the divinity of that landscape would be put to the test.
Rygar thundered ahead of his entire host.
Each of the hundred warriors following him could run faster than a horse; some were even swifter than the fastest sports cars of Rygar’s previous world.
Yet none could compare to his speed. He was like a blur, a thunderbolt of flesh and bone cutting across the plain toward the Divine Barrier protecting the sacred city.
Rygar had brought a hundred warriors with him, but there was one undeniable fact: none of them could breach the city if he did not shatter first the Barrier sealing Milishion.
In terms of pure military power, Rygar was convinced he could take Milishion alone.
Defeating Galgard, the White Knight, and the Magic King simultaneously? Perfectly viable. To him, the Saints of Millis were nothing more than cannon fodder.
Even the knights composing the hundreds of defenders did not represent a worthy obstacle. If it were a straight fight to the death, he would win.
