Chapter 145 - Really Useful Gifts
Rygar used a detoxification spell on himself, feeling the magical energy coursing through his veins and dissipating the toxins.
His mind gradually cleared until, finally, he fully regained consciousness. The familiar faces showed a mixture of happiness and expectation.
Everyone organized themselves spontaneously, almost as if they had rehearsed. The first to present a gift was Ghislaine.
She approached with a sparkle in her eyes and held a small box in her hands. When she opened it, it revealed a pair of amulets with a stone in the shape of a black pearl, polished like obsidian and reflecting the light in a mysterious way.
Ghislaine smiled joyfully, her tail swaying to display her good mood.
"That is a magical bonding tool," she explained in a low, soft voice.
"It is produced at the Magical University of Ranoa, but apparently it is very rare."
Ghislaine made a small cut on her own finger, letting a drop of blood fall onto one of the amulets.
Then she took Rygar's hand, and with her sharp nail, made a slight cut on his finger, repeating the process with the second amulet.
Both felt a magical effect when Rygar's drop of blood touched the amulet.
"The seller told me that the earring will remain intact until one of the users dies," she said casually.
