Chapter 115 - The Power to Shape the World
Rygar stood, watching the colossal corpse of the Dragon King.
Its body still radiated residual heat, and the smell of blood hung in the air.
The dark red scales gleamed under the sunlight, as if they were made of polished metal, and the surrounding scene was one of pure devastation – melted rocks, a huge fissure, and the mountain partially destroyed at its side.
Eris approached, riding on Skoll.
With an agile leap, she jumped down and landed next to Rygar, her eyes sparkling with excitement. The rest of the group was also approaching, moving at a more measured pace.
"Rygar!" Eris exclaimed excitedly. "We got a mission at the Adventurers' Guild to collect Dragon King scales! Every ten pieces of scale count as a Rank S mission!"
Rygar smiled at her enthusiasm and nodded. "If no one takes them, they'll just rot here anyway. If you want, you can start removing some scales."
Without hesitation, Eris drew her sword, excited, and ran toward the dragon, eager to begin the task.
Meanwhile, Rygar raised a stone tower beneath his feet, lifting himself several meters off the ground.
From up there, he activated his Demon Eyes and honed his senses to the maximum. The world around him became sharper—the sounds of the mountains, the rustle of the wind, even the slightest movements in the surroundings.
He inspected every corner within a considerable distance, alert to any hostile presence. But there was nothing.
