Rex handed the items to Zahida who for some reason began sweating like a swimmer exiting a pool with the amount of water rushing and being forced off.
"Rex, do you know why these items were left?" Zahida asked.
"Well, I got the two children at least to acknowledge each other and get them to work out their feelings." Rex responded with joy.
He was not in the greatest of mindsets when he was originally listening to the words spoken by them. After hearing the truth, Rex truly understood what had happened. That is the boy truly wanted to become free from past responsibility.
While he first could not, trying to do everything to get away rather it be from the mother's side or the girl's side of things. He was trying to just be better.
Rex could tell that the boy was honest with his words and feelings that he spoke while in the room. Getting the items was just secondary to the whole thing, while he honestly did not know that they were left.
"These items bring destruction to those who have left the Maintainer's area. We left them because we did not want that destruction following us." Zahida cried.
Rex took it as another form of punishment instead.
"What if you both carry them? Technically speaking you both are leaving the Maintainer's area. In a way, maybe getting them would be the better idea. Use the reverse side of the wording you used. When the items are not taken away from the Maintainer's area, they bring destruction to those who left them."
