Chapter 244: CH: 241 God King Odin
{Chapter: 241 God King Odin}
The sword in William's hand gleamed coldly as it slashed across the neck of the white-bearded old man. Blood sprayed through the air like crimson mist, and the old alchemist staggered back, clutching his throat in disbelief. His lips trembled, but no words could escape. His eyes, once filled with wisdom, were now clouded by panic and pain.
"You... you..." the old man stammered weakly as he collapsed to the floor, his body twitching in its final moments.
William watched with a calm, unflinching gaze. He took a slow step forward and looked down at the dying man.
"What do you mean by 'you'? If you see her down there, tell her William says hello." His voice was chillingly casual, his expression devoid of remorse. "Now you can die in peace."
Without another word, William kicked the lifeless body aside with his boot, sending it sliding across the polished stone floor. The thud echoed through the silent hall like a gavel slamming down with finality.
He turned his attention to the massive alchemy furnace that dominated the room. Its ancient surface was engraved with runes and seals that shimmered faintly with lingering magical energy. Fire still roared beneath it, and the faint scent of herbs and spiritual minerals wafted through the air.
"So this is the transformation and combination of pill, huh?" William said with a smirk. "Let's see if it lives up to the legend."
With a sudden motion, he raised his leg and delivered a heavy kick to the furnace.
Bang!
The enormous structure groaned under the force. The lid, sealed tight with heat and pressure, broke loose and crashed to the ground. A gust of medicinal smoke escaped, filling the room with an ethereal glow.
