William crouched beside the downed Iron Man suit, his expression calm and curious. He placed one hand gently against the metallic chestplate, right over the glowing core.
"So, this is it," he muttered to himself, eyes reflecting the faint blue light. "The arc reactor... the heart of the machine."
Tony, still reeling from the damage, gasped and shouted, "How do you know about that? Who are you?!"
He couldn't comprehend how this man—this thing—seemed to understand everything about his technology, even the most classified elements. That knowledge wasn't supposed to exist outside Stark Industries.
William didn't answer the question. Instead, he moved with surgical precision, gripping the arc reactor. Sparks crackled as he wrenched it from the suit's chest, holding the glowing orb of energy up to the light like a precious gem. "Since the White Queen seems to have taken a liking to this little toy," he said, admiring it, "I think I'll give it to her. Let's see what she can do with it."
With the arc reactor removed, Tony's suit powered down instantly. The glowing lights along the suit dimmed and died, leaving him completely vulnerable inside the heavy armor.
Tony looked up at William from the ground, his voice strained but defiant. "William... I'll remember you. And next year, I'll light a candle in your name."
