Chapter 128: CH: 127 Wind corpse beads
{Chapter: 127 Wind corpse beads}
A massive energy bomb radiating dazzling light surged forth, bombarding the Mutant Raven King with a force that could shake the very ground. The once-mighty mutant, rushing toward William with every intent to annihilate him, found itself too slow to evade. Though it twisted its body slightly in an attempt to dodge, the energy bomb struck its right wing squarely.
An ear-splitting, guttural cry erupted from the creature, its agonized wail reverberating through the air like an otherworldly lament. The explosion that followed was devastating—flames licked hungrily at the mutant's grotesque form, and the violent impact of the energy blast left no mercy. Its entire right wing, along with the right half of its body, was obliterated into a gruesome spray of flesh and blood. Black feathers, singed and shredded, rained down to the earth like macabre confetti.
The Mutant Raven King crashed to the ground with a thunderous boom that seemed to echo endlessly, forming a massive crater upon impact. Dust and yellow sand billowed into the air, veiling the battlefield in a suffocating haze. The towering beast lay crippled, desperately flapping its remaining left wing in a futile attempt to rise. Its pitiful struggle to stand only resulted in its blood, thick and as black as tar, flowing freely onto the earth, staining the sand in morbid streaks of darkness.
William approached the fallen beast, his steps deliberate and unhurried, exuding an aura of unshakable dominance. "Accept your fate," he declared, his voice carrying an almost amused finality. "Your destiny ends here. Making me transform twice... you should consider it an honor to die by my hand."
The mutant crow king, sensing its impending doom, let out pitiful cries, retreating as best as its mangled body allowed. "Cow, cow!" it wailed, the sound more desperate than defiant.
"Begging for mercy?" William chuckled, his tone laced with disdain. "Sorry, but you're far too ugly to deserve pity. Your death will serve a greater purpose." His gaze flicked toward the glimmer of the transformation corpse bead he sought within the creature, his intention crystal clear.
Suddenly, the Mutant Raven King surged forward with unexpected ferocity, its shattered body lunging at William in a desperate, last-ditch attack.
"Looks like you've made your decision. Fine, let me assist you in your demise." With a single, decisive motion, William swung his massive black sword. The blade moved with unnatural precision, a streak of cold, glinting light cutting through the air.
