William said to Cade, "Cade, you want me to hold you too?"
"Just take care of Tessa," Cade snorted and walked slowly forward along the anchor's cable.
"Well, it's your choice." William stepped on the rope without feeling the slightest bit of fear or shaking. It was almost peaceful on the ground.
Tessa's hands clasped William's neck tightly. Looking at the ground far below, her heartbeat accelerated for a moment, but feeling the heat from William, the nervousness slowly subsided. This man would definitely protect her.
Tessa was suddenly surprised. When did she start having such thoughts? Believing that this man would protect her—why does she believe it? He is so hateful, evil, and a bad guy.

"He died in front of me. I killed him," Tessa whispered.
