William was sitting in a black but not entirely black car, and this car was naturally Crosshairs.
At the speed the Autobot was going, Chicago was just a day away.

At a supermarket in Chicago, William was shopping with an unhappy Tessa.
"You shouldn't have come with me," Tessa protested.
William nodded. "It's no problem." He stepped aside.
Watching William move away, Tessa went to the phone and dialed a number.
"Hey, is it Shane? Hi, I'm Tessa," she whispered.
"It's me, Tessa. Are you okay? Where are you now? I'm going to come and see you," Shane's excited voice came from the phone.
