She placed her hand on her abdomen, her face beaming with satisfaction, “This is the fruit of our love, no matter what, I am absolutely going to give birth. “Of course I won’t.” Lu Yilei quickly responded, looking at Meng Rou with eyes filled with emotion, “Xiao Rou, you really are so understanding. Meeting you is the greatest fortune of my life.”
Meng Rou smiled faintly, looking back at Lu Yilei with eyes brimming with tenderness and trust.
At the same time, she internally breathed a sigh of relief. At least, she had managed to stabilize the situation for now.
No matter how they looked at it, the marriage couldn’t be settled today. The attitudes of Old Master Lu and Old Madam Lu were clear, and even if she could control Lu Yilei’s feelings, she couldn’t change the minds of the two elders.
