The monster bared its chest and roared.
One step forward from my current position.
Then, counting silently to 3.5 seconds, I thrust my shield forward, and the monster's massive arm, now many times larger, lunged toward me.
"Clang!" The clear sound rang out again.
The monster’s center collapsed, creating a gap in its form.
I took advantage of the opening and, from the ground up, I crawled over its body with ice.

Its red, glowing eyes locked onto me, and just as they did, the monster's claws, which had been sprawling across its body, shot toward me.
I had anticipated this pattern and had already adjusted my position, so there was no need for Nevira to worry.
I kept my shield raised and dashed forward.
As I approached the monster, I took a step back just in time to dodge its two swipes.
