But as the years passed, the fissures that had been buried became difficult to mend, and the fate was sealed the moment he had allowed those Ancient Gods to fall.

The only thing he could do was the same as before, to suppress dissenting voices with his powerful force, other than that, there was no other way.

Therefore, stationed high in the Divine Court, the Divine Lord could only personally intervene when mighty deities such as the Thunder God and the Fire God could no longer annihilate the human race.

This posed a great risk for the Divine Lord, as previously, when he remained behind the scenes, he had excuses and reasons that kept the opposition cautious.

But once he truly entered the fray, facing the human race, there were no options other than victory.

If he defeated the human race and obliterated them, returning in triumph, it would be enough to suppress all dissenting voices within the Divine Court and even overpower those deities without any issue.

But if he failed, or even if it were merely a draw, a temporary setback, it would lessen the fear among the opposition within the Divine Court, making their voices and power stronger, and they might even openly split from the Divine Court.

This was the last opportunity for the Divine Lord and other deities who shared his stance.

But they had no choice, especially under the circumstances now, where the strength of the human race was no longer a matter easily resolved.

Even though they had the advantage in numbers of their armies and deities, faced with Emperor Xi of the human race, they found themselves at a disadvantage.
