Marry My Billionaire Second Husband

Chapter 207: Feel Free To Return

"Kelsie doesn’t need to know everything about me," Caleb said. "But enough about that spoilsport― I heard the news! How are you feeling? This is your second marriage, but it’s even more ill-fated than ours. At least we made it out of city hall with our rings and wedding certificates."

"And that was just the first step into hell," Amelia quipped back with gritted teeth. "Excuse me, I must go."

As she tried to sidestep Caleb and leave, his arm shot out and grabbed her wrist. Amelia barely managed to dodge, and Ronan was quick to pull Amelia back a safe distance and out of Caleb’s reach. Caleb clicked his tongue in annoyance just as Ronan cleared his throat warningly.

"Caleb Walton, mind your manners," he said. "Who are you to grab a random lady like that in public?"

"A random lady?" Caleb echoed with a bark of laughter. "Amelia was my wife. We are more than strangers and have done more intimate things than you can even imagine. Isn’t that right, dear?"

A shiver of disgust crawled all over Amelia’s body at his words. "Leave. Me. Alone," she said with emphasis. "When we signed those divorce papers, you made it very clear to draw the line between us. Once married or not, I no longer have anything to do with you."

"That was the past," Caleb said. "I have offered a reconciliation before, haven’t I? We can return to the good old days― the only difference now is that you won’t have to work a single day in your life any longer!"

Then, Caleb laughed as he glanced at Ronan from the corner of his eye.

"Then again, you two might not even have jobs anymore after Matteo Montgomery leaves the office since you’re both his secretaries. He’s no longer the CEO of X’el International. Oh how the great have fallen!"
