Madam Song and Mrs. Lu escorted Song Ci back to Chunhui Hall, then dispersed to their own affairs. Madam Song did not hurry back to her main courtyard but instead first went to Lin Qing’s Bamboo Study.

Taking the opportunity, Madam Song said, "Could you feel my pulse again?"
