Defying the Rogue Alpha

Chapter 95: Rage

Sarah paced in her bedroom for what felt like the hundredth time. She had been trying to see him for days now and not once had Lucas responded. No messages, no summons.

She tossed her long, perfectly styled hair over her shoulder, nostrils flaring. What the fuck was wrong with him?

Was he still pining over that stupid bitch?

The thought made her stomach churn with rage. Ava was gone. Lucas should be moving on, preferably into her bed where he belonged.

Sarah let out an exaggerated sigh and stomped towards the door.

When she reached Dorian’s office, she didn’t bother knocking. She shoved the door open, making an entrance as dramatic as she could manage.

Dorian looked up from his desk with a scowl, dark circles under his eyes. The man looked rough, his usually pristine suit wrinkled, his hands resting on an almost-empty glass of whiskey.

"I have been trying to see the Alpha for days now," she began, crossing her arms. "He has been ignoring me. You need to do something!"

Dorian inhaled sharply. "I lost my son, Sarah. Not once have you said anything to me about it. The first thing out of your mouth is that you need my help?"

She opened her mouth, then closed it, as if maybe she should show an ounce of sympathy. But then she shrugged. "I am sorry for your loss," she said, the words hollow. "But remember, you still have to make me Luna."

Dorian let out a slow, incredulous laugh, shaking his head. "Sarah." He leaned forward. "At no point in time did I ever say you were going to become Luna."
