"Join the club." The boy grumbled.
"Still, it is encouraging that you will be able to advance your skills in countering genjutsu, even if casting them is beyond you." The Hokage nodded to himself. "Anyway, in order to counter the holes in your educations, all teams will, after being formally accepted by their Jonin-sensei, be regularly given inter-team training. A veteran team has volunteered to help train you all as well...the former Team 9...Team Gai, which has young Tenten on it."
"I get to train with Ten-chan on a regular basis?! Thanks, Jiji!" Naruto yelled excitedly.
Noting the affectionate honorific directed at the tomboy Weapons Mistress for later blackmail and/or teasing, Sarutobi smiled at his surrogate grandson's excitement. "It won't be with just Tenten-chan." He gently reminded Naruto. "You'll have to spar against the others as well."
"I will." The Uzumaki boy nodded obediently.
"Very good. Please keep this to yourself until the time of the first inter-team training session." Sarutobi requested. "Now, off home with you. You deserve a good night's sleep after bringing in a traitor on your very first day as a genin!" he finished with a laugh.
