Disused Clearing, Forest on the Outskirts of Konoha
Uzumaki Naruto landed in the clearing with a large scroll slung over his back. He had even changed back to his casual getup to keep Mizuki from getting suspicious.
While the scroll on his back was not the Forbidden Scroll of Seals, it had not taken his Jiji long to whip up a very convincing fake. He'd even placed a few jutsu in it for Naruto to have a look at while he waited for the newest Nuke-nin of Konoha to arrive.
His Jiji's plan was simply to allow Naruto to trick the man into showing his hand while he, and a few other ninja, watched via his crystal ball. That had been interesting to find out about, he'd always that the thing was little more than a pretty paperweight. Instead it was a Fūinjutsu device linked to the village's defensive barriers that allowed it to be used as a focus for the Tōmegane no Jutsu (Telescope Technique) anywhere within Konoha.
The quest that his [Gamer] power had generated had been an even more interesting motivator.
