Eventually, Naruto managed to wear the two down and jam kunai into the back of their heads, killing them. He had a moment to bask in the glory before he got bowled over by the charge of the [Gnasty Gnashing Grey Squirrel]. He was forced to leave his kunai in the heads of the [Ravening Rabid Red Squirrels] as he grappled with the grey monster, which was at least half again as big as its weaker companions.
"GET-" WHACK! "-OFF-" WHAM! "-OF-" THWACK! "-ME!" Naruto roared as he punched the chakra mutation's throat multiple times to emphasise his words. At the last blow, the squirrel finally retreated back with a leap, spitting out flecks of blood that stained its massive teeth.
"Fuck this." Naruto growled and ran through some handsigns, "Fūton: Senfūkyū!"
Bringing his right hand up to his mouth, he fired off three wind spheres at the squirrel. It managed to dodge two, but the third slammed into its tail, severing it when the projectile detonated on impact.
The wail of pain from the mutation was deafening.
You have blown off a limb! [Gnasty Gnashing Grey Squirrel] is now suffering from the [Badly Bleeding] status!
