'Not a single attack...yep, someone's been through here and cut down all the chakra mutations.' Naruto thought nervously. His instincts were currently screaming at him that this situation was abnormal and that he should get out of there as fast as he could. And that he should eat some ramen, but that was normal for him.
Leaving the first area and moving to the second, Naruto was yet again struck by how uncannily silent the training ground was, without the usual sounds of animals and chakra mutants filling it. Even the wind was silent, removing the usual background sound of rustling leaves that was almost omnipresent in Konoha.
It was...really unsettling.
"Yo, brat."
The muffled voice of a man startled Naruto as he seemed to melt out of the tree in front of him. He wore a cloth mask over his face and had a battered Konoha Hitai-ate on his forehead. Much to Naruto's mild horror, he also wore a black spandex jumpsuit that showed that he had definitely eaten all the pies.
