"Why?" Naruto asked intently.
"Minato was a kind man." Sarutobi said with a soft smile as he thought back, "Very gentle and one who cared greatly, both for Konoha as a whole and for his fellow shinobi. He made that plan to use the Hiraishin on such an unprecedented scale because he wished to end the war quickly, before more of his comrades died in the fighting. He truly personified the Will of Fire, the code that we Konohagakure Shinobi live by and gives us a strength beyond chakra, beyond mere jutsu. He was, without question, one of the greatest shinobi it has ever been my pleasure to meet, which made his death twelve years ago an even greater tragedy."
Naruto nodded. "I wish I could have met him. He sounds like an awesome person."
Sarutobi's heart twisted at this coming from a person who looked so much like Minato, and was in fact his son. Forcing a grandfatherly smile onto his face, "Sarutobi said, "He was. Minato did have his faults though. He was terrible at naming jutsu for example. The Hiraishin's original name was a convoluted thing that took about two minutes to say, the same applying to the Rasengan. He was also very dense when it came to the fairer sex."
