Chapter 200: Only Yours
Abby’s breath caught in her throat as she turned and collided with someone, the force of the impact causing her to stumble backward.
Her heart lurched in her chest as she looked up, her eyes meeting the piercing gaze of Remo, who had just walked through the door, his expression a mix of surprise and concern.
"Abby?" Remo’s voice was a low, gravelly murmur, barely audible above the pounding music. His presence felt like a sudden jolt of electricity, sending a surge of adrenaline coursing through her veins.
Abby’s breath caught in her throat as she struggled to find her voice, the weight of his gaze pinning her in place like a moth caught in a spider’s web.
With his arms folded against his chest and his brows furrowed in a stern expression, Remo stared at Abby, his presence commanding and imposing.
"You’re back," Abby groaned, her frustration evident in her tone.
"Excuse me? It’s nice to see you too, Abby," Remo retorted, his voice laced with a hint of sarcasm.
Abby stumbled backward, her movements unsteady from the effects of the alcohol. Remo’s brows furrowed deeper, his lips pressing together in a tight line as he took a step towards her, a silent question in his eyes.
"How much have you had to drink?" Remo’s voice was firm, his concern evident despite his attempt to remain composed.
