Chapter 177: Promise
Remo leaned back in his leather chair, fingers steepled beneath his chin as he studied Tony. "Did you get the CCTV and the woman’s identity?" he asked, his voice low and measured.
Tony nodded, sliding a folder across the desk. "Yes, I did. It seems her father is a businessman, one of Harrison’s big investors."
Remo’s lips curled into a smirk. "How lucky for us," he mused, tapping his fingers thoughtfully on the desk. "Well, she will surely retaliate. Give back the CCTV. When the man finds out Abby’s identity, I’m sure he would pull out his investments because he thinks Abby now owns the company."
Tony nodded, understanding the implications. "You want me to make sure he finds out?"
"Yes. Out of anger, I’m sure the man will pull out his investments to punish us, but it will be Harrison who would take the heat," Remo explained, his gaze piercing through the dimly lit office. "The board will be angry. He can’t afford to lose the board’s trust since he wants to take over the company. An investor pulling out now will look bad on him."
Tony nodded in understanding, absorbing the implications of Remo’s strategy. "So, we let the dominoes fall and watch Harrison scramble to keep control."
Remo grinned, the thrill of manipulation dancing in his eyes. "Exactly, this is just the beginning . When the dust settles, we’ll be there to pick up the pieces and reshape the board in our favor after acquiring most shares in secret."
Tony nodded, "Alright. I’ll work on it."
Remo leaned forward, his expression turning serious. "Also, get me in contact with Sophia. She owes me, and I think it’s time to repay her debt."
