Bride To His Darkness

Chapter 369: Destroying The Symbol

"Forget it! No one leaves here alive! Lest you forget this is my domain! What rights do you claim to call it your turf!" Marius spat, a cynical laugh escaping his throat.

At this point, Ivan had dropped to the floor, placing Samantha gently behind him. What Marius didn’t expect at all was for Samantha to unexpectedly sprint in the opposite direction, like she was heading somewhere, and he gritted his teeth, wondering what those two were up to.

"GET BACK HERE!!"

"She can hear you, you don’t have to raise your voice like a mad man." Ivan answered for his wife, a taunting smile curving his lips, "the only problem is, she won’t listen to your commands this time around. You’re done!"

"What are you two up to?? I will fucking kill you!!" And with an inexplicable rage, Marius charged first with his fist poised, ready to ruin the face he envied as much as he hated seeing it, and Ivan swiftly sidestepped his attack, grabbing him by his coat and giving him a swing before tossing him into one of the columns, and that vibrated the vicinity due to the impact.

"I’m afraid you won’t be able to fulfill your desire of ending me," Ivan rolled up his sleeves as he approached where Marius struggled to rise, "cause I will send you back to hell first!"

"I’d like to see you try!" And a barrage of blows was sent Ivan’s way. He countered the attack with his hand and drove a kick to Marius’s abdomen, sending him flying back, but Ivan didn’t give him time to catch his breath and immediately started unleashing a series of deadly blows and kicks to the point they tumbled into a different arena.

Marius stumbled back and fell to the ground, groaning in pain, but his eyes widened when he saw Ivan leapt with the help of his wings, about to land yet another blow on him. He quickly rolled out of the way, and Ivan’s fist connected to the ground, creating a crater. He jerked his head to where Marius had stood up, already stumbling away as if to escape his fate.

"Running?" Ivan scoffed as he withdrew his hand from the ground, "thought you were better than that. Didn’t expect you to be such a coward, Marius. Sigh... what are we going to do now?" Ivan’s haunting voice followed Marius who was trying his best to keep as much distance as he could from the vampire.
